about
in Hi, I'm Sena, creator of Diamond's Bags.
(Diamond, is my daughter's nick name). Diamond's Bags are bespoke and handmade with an infusion of the beauty of Africa.
I started making bags in 2003 in America, when I could never seem to find the bag I was looking for in the shops. Either they were not the right size, colour or were too heavy even before I would put anything in.! Most of us ladies like to carry precious cargo, that can sometimes weigh a ton : )! which may affect our postures later in life.
Since I fell in love with sewing after my mother gave me a sewing machine, I thought I might as well make my own bags!! Before long I started receiving compliments and orders. In 2011 and 2012, I was asked to participate in exhibitions in Maryland. I just could not stop making bags after that, and Diamond's Bags , was officially born.
Knowing that women cannot always find their bag of choice in the shops, I am always gratified when I am able to design a bag that reflects the uniqueness of that special lady. I am also very passionate about Africa, and I love to express African beauty in my designs.
